Economics Professors Back FTC In Phoebe Merger Case

Law360, New York (August 23, 2012, 7:58 PM EDT) -- A group of economics professors backed the Federal Trade Commission on Monday in the agency's challenge of Phoebe Putney Health System Inc.'s $195 million merger with its only nearby rival, arguing that the deal shouldn't get less antitrust scrutiny just because Phoebe is a nonprofit.
