5th Circ. Won't Rehear Downhole's Oil Project Coverage Suit

Law360, Chicago (August 24, 2012, 1:31 PM EDT) -- The Fifth Circuit on Wednesday refused Downhole Navigator LLC's bid for an en banc rehearing after a panel ruled in June that Nautilus Insurance Co. does not have to cover Downhole's costs in a suit over a botched oil drilling project.

Downhole had sought to revive its appeal after a three-judge panel decided that Nautilus need not pick up the tab for the underlying litigation in which the policyholder, a drilling company, declined to be represented by attorneys of Nautilus' choosing, but the Fifth Circuit shot...
