NuvaRing Cases Combined For Remand Purposes

Law360, New York (October 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has combined a number of product liability suits over Organon International Inc.'s contraceptive device NuvaRing for the purpose of deciding whether they should be remanded to state court.

In a letter order filed Wednesday, Magistrate Judge Esther Salas of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey noted that common questions of law existed in the plaintiffs' arguments to remand their cases.

As a result, she combined 29 cases under one docket number and three cases under a different docket number....
