Apple, Samsung Face Sales Ban In S. Korean Patent Battle

Law360, New York (August 24, 2012, 4:29 PM EDT) -- A South Korean court on Friday reportedly ruled that both Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. had infringed each other's smartphone and tablet patents, issuing a partial ban on sales of the companies' popular devices.

The Seoul Central District Court said that Apple's iPhones and iPads had infringed two of Samsung's patents, and that Samsung's Galaxy smartphones and tablets had infringed Apple's patented bounce-back scroll feature, according to the Associated Press.
