Romney's Energy Plan Unfairly Favors Oil, House Dems Say

Law360, New York (August 24, 2012, 8:14 PM EDT) -- House Democrats on Friday released an analysis tearing into Mitt Romney’s energy plan, arguing the GOP presidential candidate’s proposals would undermine key environmental laws, open public lands to excessive development and support the oil industry at the expense of renewable energy.

The analysis, published by House Energy and Natural Resource Committee Democrats, came just a day after Romney and his runningmate Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., called for greater state control over energy permitting, expanded offshore drilling and a loosening of environmental regulations.
