Judge Lets Barr Build Up Arsenal For Yasmin Suit

Law360, New York (October 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has granted Barr Laboratories leave to add various counterclaims and defenses to its complaint as the pharmaceutical giant gears up to duke it out with Schering AG over popular birth control pill Yasmin.

On Thursday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Esther Sales gave Barr permission to modify its complaint, after Schering and its U.S. affiliate Berlex Inc. declined to throw up an objection to the move.
