CFPB Names New Regulations Head After MoFo Defection

Law360, New York (August 27, 2012, 7:53 PM EDT) -- The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has promoted a new head for its rulemaking department and brought on several additional senior staff, it announced Monday, following the departure of its previous regulations head to rejoin Morrison & Foerster LLP.

The CFPB's former deputy assistant director of regulations, Kelly Thompson Cochran, has been named the new acting assistant director and will be responsible for approximately 40 attorneys in the the regulations division, according to a statement by the bureau.
