Motorola Cloud Apps Accused Of Infringing Data Patents

Law360, Los Angeles (August 28, 2012, 3:47 PM EDT) -- Patent licensor Clouding IP LLC on Monday continued its recent litigation offensive targeting some of the most popular cloud services on the market, accusing Motorola Mobility Inc.'s MotoCast and ZumoCast cloud service applications of infringing two remote data access patents.

MotoCast and ZumoCast allow users to access music, videos and files stored on their home computer through compatible mobile devices. North Carolina-based Clouding, formerly STEC IP LLC, claims in its lawsuit that the applications infringe U.S. Patent Numbers 6,925,481 and 7,254,621.
