GSA Should Have Weighed Price In IT Vendor Pick, GAO Says

Law360, New York (August 28, 2012, 5:19 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has backed an information technology company's protest of the U.S. General Services Administration's selection of an IT contractor, saying the GSA should have placed heavier weight on its bidders' prices, according to a decision released last week.

The GAO rejected the GSA’s argument that Cyberdata Technologies Inc.’s challenge was untimely because it raised an issue related to the agency's selection process and therefore should have been addressed before the agency’s closing date for quotations.
