Kellogg Posts Froot Loops Ad Disclaimer At Watchdog's Request

Law360, New York (August 29, 2012, 3:27 PM EDT) -- Kellogg Co. has agreed to modify the website for its Froot Loops cereal after ad watchdog Children’s Advertising Review Unit expressed concerns the company had failed to adequately identify product advertising embedded within games and activities on the site geared toward children, CARU announced Monday.

CARU said in a press release that, per its recommendation, Kellogg had agreed to post a notice on the pages for each of its online promotional games and activities stating, “This is advertising from Kellogg’s” in order to avoid misleading children...
