AMR Cites Creditor Support For Ch. 11 Plan Filing

Law360, New York (August 29, 2012, 2:50 PM EDT) -- Bankrupt American Airlines Inc. parent AMR Corp. said Wednesday that it has the support of a group of "substantial creditors" for its intention to file a Chapter 11 reorganization plan, with the group offering to provide financing to help the debtor along.

The debtor refers to the ad hoc group of creditors in a motion for approval to pay the professionals it's employing, which AMR submitted to U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean H. Lane, who is overseeing AMR's bankruptcy case.
