China Asks For WTO Panel To Settle US Duties Dispute

Law360, New York (August 31, 2012, 2:21 PM EDT) -- China has asked the World Trade Organization to establish an official panel to resolve its allegations that the U.S. improperly applies countervailing duties to 22 different Chinese products valued at $7.3 billion, the country's Ministry of Commerce said Friday.

The duties were imposed on Chinese goods such as steel pipes, solar panels, wind turbine towers, multilayered wood flooring and lightweight thermal paper.
