Nova Asks High Court To Review Dow's $62M Patent Win

Law360, New York (August 31, 2012, 5:25 PM EDT) -- Nova Chemicals Corp. has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the Federal Circuit's decision upholding a $62 million patent verdict, saying the circuit court wrongly saddled it with the burden to disprove Dow Chemical Inc.'s standing and applied too lenient a standard for patent definiteness.

Nova on Aug. 23 filed a petition for a writ of certiorari asking the high court to review a Jan. 24 Federal Circuit decision that affirmed by a vote of 2-1 the lower court's judgment against Nova, rejecting its arguments...
