Judge Tosses Hundreds From Bextra Case

Law360, New York (October 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Inc. has won its bid to have hundreds of plaintiffs tossed from the multidistrict litigation over its anti-inflammatory drugs Bextra and Celebrex.

The judge overseeing the product liability case in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted the drug manufacturer's request on Friday, issuing an order dismissing with prejudice the claims of over 300 consumers.
