Photographer Sues Live Nation, Old Navy Over Run-DMC Shirts

Law360, New York (September 4, 2012, 5:13 PM EDT) -- Music photographer Glen Friedman sued Old Navy LLC and Live Nation Merchandise Inc. in California federal court on Friday for selling a T-shirt that featured one of his images of hip-hop group Run-DMC.

The Live Nation merchandising unit allegedly sold a so-called style guide to Old Navy in which it authorized the Gap Inc. subsidiary to use a set of photos of Run-DMC to create new items, according to Friedman.
