FHWA Floats Revision Of Highway Project Procurement Rules

Law360, New York (September 4, 2012, 5:01 PM EDT) -- The Federal Highway Administration on Tuesday proposed a series of updates to the regulations for contracting out engineering and design-related services on government-funded highway construction projects, including new requirements for subcontractors.

The FHWA, which published the proposed updates in the Federal Register, said the rule changes are designed to update the regulations governing the procurement, management, and administration of contracts and services for projects that use so-called federal-aid highway program, or FAHP, funding.
