AUO Fights To Delay Sentencing In LCD Price-Fixing Case

Law360, New York (September 4, 2012, 6:22 PM EDT) -- AU Optronics Corp. argued Tuesday that the federal court overseeing its LCD-panel price-fixing case should postpone a Sept. 14 sentencing hearing despite the government's objections because its docket is too overloaded to handle the complicated sentencing issues in the case.

In a series of motions filed Friday and Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Justice, AUO and the individual defendants convicted in the case have been fighting over whether the sentencing hearing should go forward as scheduled or be postponed until the end of the month....
