Engineering Co. Can't Leave Suit Over Ford Plant Cleanup

Law360, New York (September 4, 2012, 5:18 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Friday shot down environmental engineering company Arcadis U.S. Inc.'s bid to get out of a lawsuit over the cleanup costs of contaminated concrete from a demolished Ford Motor Co. assembly plant in New Jersey.

U.S. District Judge Esther Salas denied Arcadis' motion for summary judgment, saying there were legitimate questions of fact as to whether Arcadis played an important role in the decommissioning, demolition and distribution of concrete off-site, and so the the claims against the company can't be eliminated.
