NYC Hospital Pays $13M To Settle Medicaid Kickback Case

Law360, New York (September 5, 2012, 6:43 PM EDT) -- New York Downtown Hospital has agreed to pay $13.4 million to settle allegations that it paid kickbacks to Missouri-based SpecialCare Hospital Management Corp. for referrals of Medicaid patients to its inpatient drug and alcohol treatment services, according to a settlement made public Wednesday.
