JVC, Supersonic Settle Thumb Drive Patent Battles With Anu

Law360, New York (September 6, 2012, 3:51 PM EDT) -- JVC Kenwood Corp. and Supersonic Inc. on Wednesday settled patent actions brought in Texas federal court and the U.S. International Trade Commission by patent-holding company Anu IP LLC, ending allegations that the electronics companies infringed patents covering retractable USB devices.

JVC, Supersonic and Anu agreed to dismiss the Texas suits with prejudice, and the companies moved for the ITC to terminate its investigation as it relates to JVC and Supersonic pursuant to terms of settlement agreements, according to court documents. Terms of the deals were not...
