Grainger Tool Grips Carry Toxic Chemicals, Customer Says

Law360, New York (September 7, 2012, 3:20 PM EDT) -- A California consumer hit W.W. Grainger Inc. with a suit in state court Thursday, accusing the industrial supply company of manufacturing and selling tools containing dangerous levels of toxic chemicals including lead without properly notifying the public.

Grainger has violated California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, known commonly as Proposition 65, by exposing the public to the substances without their knowledge, the suit alleges.
