Oracle Accuses Ex-Partner Co. Of Stealing Software IP

Law360, Chicago (September 7, 2012, 3:13 PM EDT) -- Oracle International Corp. sued former business partner CedarCrestone Inc. in California federal court Wednesday, accusing it of misappropriating Oracle's intellectual property during their partnership and then using its partner status to attract customers it could service with the allegedly stolen software.

The software giant alleges that CedarCrestone, which for seven years was an Oracle partner providing third-party support services to customers with Oracle's PeopleSoft software, has infringed Oracle's copyrights, undermined its customer relationships and unfairly competed against it.
