Baseball Bat Maker Gets Judgment In Injury Suit Reversed

Law360, New York (September 6, 2012, 9:27 PM EDT) -- An Oklahoma federal judge overturned a judgment Wednesday against Hillerich & Bradsby Co., the maker of Louisville Slugger baseball bats, denouncing the evidence that caused a jury to favor a young baseball player who claimed his facial injury was caused by the bats.

U.S. District Judge Stephen P. Friot granted the bat company's motion for a judgment in its favor, but declined to award it a new trial.
