Shell, Chevron, Others Face Wrongful Death Suit Over Jet Fuel

Law360, Houston (September 10, 2012, 5:44 PM EDT) -- The parents of an airport mechanic launched a suit Friday in Texas court, alleging that exposure to carcinogens in jet fuel produced by Shell Oil Co., Chevron USA Inc., ConocoPhillips Co., Exxon Mobil Corp. and BP Products NA, among others, caused their son's death.

Jim and Kathy Willis claim that their son Joshua, who died of leukemia in 2010 at age 30, was unwittingly exposed to dangerous levels of benzene and other carcinogens contained in the companies' gasoline and jet fuel products, leading to his death....
