Stryker Hit With 7 More Suits Over Metal Hip Implants

Law360, New York (September 11, 2012, 10:42 PM EDT) -- Seven new plaintiffs have filed product liability suits in New Jersey against a Stryker Corp. unit, making them the latest to claim they were injured by the company's Rejuvenate metal hip replacement system, which was recalled in July.

The new plaintiffs, who live in Florida, Minnesota and Arizona, filed their suits in Bergen County on Aug. 30, making virtually identical claims against New Jersey-based Howmedica Osteonics Corp., which does business as Stryker Orthopaedics, according to their attorney.
