Federal Circuit Stays Medtronic Patent Injunction

Law360 (July 29, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has stayed an injunction against medical device maker Medtronic, Inc. in a patent infringement lawsuit brought by musculoskeletal products company Biomet Inc. over polyaxial screws.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Circuit Court granted a stay in an injunction that was scheduled to take effect Aug. 22, Medtronic said. The stay postpones the injunction until the full appeal is resolved.
