Freight Co. Pleads Guilty In Bid-Rigging Probe

Law360, New York (October 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An Oregon-based freight forwarder entered a guilty plea Wednesday for engaging in a conspiracy to restrain trade through its involvement in a program for shipping household goods of military and U.S. Department of Defense personnel from the United States to foreign countries.

The Department of Justice said Lift Forwarders Inc. was the eighth company to be charged in its investigation into anti-competitive and fraudulent conduct related to the DOD International Through Government Bill of Lading (ITGBL) program.
