Direct LCD Buyers Rip Dell's Bid To Stall $30M Toshiba Deal

Law360, New York (September 13, 2012, 4:53 PM EDT) -- Direct purchasers in multidistrict antitrust litigation over liquid crystal display panels ripped Dell Inc.'s request to delay a preliminary approval hearing on their $30 million settlement with Toshiba Corp., saying Thursday that Dell's planned objection to the deal has no merit.

Dell told the California federal judge overseeing the MDL on Wednesday that it planned to object to a provision of the settlement that called for a $87 million verdict against Toshiba from July to be set aside and asked the court for more time, noting...
