Energy Co. Salesman To Pay $1M In SEC Fraud Case

Law360, Dallas (September 14, 2012, 8:47 PM EDT) -- A CBO Energy Inc. salesman agreed Friday to pay $1.1 million in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's case alleging CBO and Halek Energy LLC bilked investors through unregistered securities sales in Texas oil and gas projects.

The commission entered an agreed order Friday for the $1.1 million judgment against CBO's top salesman, Christopher Chad Wilbourn, who agreed in 2011 to repay the more than $1 million in commissions he reaped from selling working interests. The SEC said it would settle its claims against him for...
