Toshiba, LG Among Targets Of New Ill. CRT Price-Fixing Suit

Law360, New York (September 19, 2012, 1:48 PM EDT) -- Illinois sued electronics makers including Toshiba Corp. and LG Electronics Inc. on Tuesday over an alleged conspiracy to fix prices for cathode ray tubes, accusing the companies of violating state antitrust law and pushing up the cost of CRT products.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan's complaint, filed under the Illinois Antitrust Act, said that both the state and its residents had paid unlawfully inflated prices for products that incorporated CRTs, like televisions and computer monitors.
