Fast And Furious Report Lands DOJ's Breuer In Hot Seat

Law360, New York (September 20, 2012, 5:30 PM EDT) -- House Republicans pushed Lanny Breuer, the head of the U.S. Department of Justice's Criminal Division, to resign on Thursday, claiming he failed to properly supervise prosecutors and federal agents who botched the gun-trafficking investigation known as Operation Fast and Furious.

The call for Breuer's departure came a day after a report by the Justice Department's inspector general faulted department officials and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for allowing straw purchasers of firearms to deliver their purchases to violent criminals in Mexico....
