Chinese Steel Rod Duty Review Sent Back To Commerce

Law360, New York (September 21, 2012, 2:56 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of International Trade on Thursday sided with Chinese steel threaded rod exporter Gem-Year Industrial Co. Ltd., which had argued that it got short shrift during a U.S. Department of Commerce administrative review of an anti-dumping duty order.

Gem-Year had contended that a Commerce decision — which resulted in the rescinding of an administrative review of the duties with respect to the company and the leveling of the maximum, China-wide duty rate against Gem-Year — was without merit. In an order handed down Thursday,...
