Pest Device Marketers Hit With False Advertising Suit

Law360, New York (September 21, 2012, 4:27 PM EDT) -- Global Concepts Ltd. Inc., which sells the Riddex electronic pest control system through TV ads, falsely advertises the effectiveness of the product, according to a putative class action removed to Florida federal court on Thursday.

Plaintiff Cathie Colvin’s complaint, originally filed in Florida state court in August, alleges she purchased a Riddex device in August 2010 from an Internet sales site after seeing the product advertised on TV and in a local drugstore.
