Former Amkor Counsel Convicted Of Insider Trading

Law360, New York (October 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Kevin Heron, who in his post at Amkor Techonology Inc. was responsible for rooting out insider trading at the packaging company, was himself convicted Friday of the same crime, capping parallel investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

A jury handed down the decision Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, finding Heron guilty of all counts against him, including three counts of securities fraud and one of conspiracy to commit securities fraud.
