AT&T Settles Its Claims In Caller ID Scam Case

Law360, Dallas (September 26, 2012, 6:50 PM EDT) -- AT&T Inc. reached a tentative settlement agreement Tuesday with several companies it had accused of data mining millions of customer names and phone numbers using a caller ID spoofing scam, lawyers said.

The companies agreed in principle but the terms of the settlement haven’t been finalized and are likely to remain confidential, said Henry T. Kelly of Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, who represents the accused companies, on Wednesday.
