Solar Firms Urge EU To Investigate Chinese Subsidies

Law360, New York (September 25, 2012, 2:19 PM EDT) -- A group of European solar panel manufacturers pushed the European Union on Tuesday to expand its ongoing probe of Chinese solar exports, asking regulators to investigate claims that China unfairly subsidizes its panel makers.

EU ProSun, an industry group representing 25 European solar companies, filed a formal complaint seeking an investigation into the Chinese subsidies, a few weeks after the EU agreed to look into the group's earlier accusations that the Chinese had dumped the panels on the European market.
