NLRB Judge Shoots Down 'Chilling' Social Media Policy

Law360, New York (September 25, 2012, 3:36 PM EDT) -- A National Labor Relations Board judge on Thursday invalidated telecommunications company EchoStar Corp.'s policy forbidding employees from making disparaging comments about it on social media sites, finding a general savings clause in the company's employee handbook was not enough to preserve the rule.
