Court Revives Insurer's Claim That Co. Knew Of Explosion Risk

Law360, Chicago (September 26, 2012, 4:12 PM EDT) -- An Illinois federal judge vacated a ruling Wednesday that said Nipponkoa Insurance Co. Ltd. could not fight coverage for a fatal 2009 explosion at an NDK Crystal Inc. plant by arguing the crystal manufacturer knew the catastrophe was likely, saying the decision stemmed from incorrectly applied case law.
