Insurer Says Policy Doesn't Cover CDC In PE Firm Row

Law360, New York (September 27, 2012, 3:43 PM EDT) -- National Fire Insurance Co. of Hartford asked a Georgia federal judge Wednesday to find it has no duty to cover CDC Software Corp. in a $15 million lawsuit alleging CDC tried to cripple a private equity firm during the firm's settlement negotiations with CDC's bankrupt former parent.

The insurer says it told CDC in July it would cover the software company in the underlying suit, filed in April, but under a reservation of rights. But National Fire now says the policy excludes the types of claims...
