Dodd-Frank Whistleblower Ruling May Spark Retaliation Suits

Law360, New York (September 27, 2012, 10:25 PM EDT) -- In what appears to be the first decision allowing a Dodd-Frank Act retaliation claim to survive a motion to dismiss, a federal judge embraced a broad definition of whistleblower under the statute that will lead to an uptick in the filing of such claims against employers, attorneys said Thursday.
