Insurer Lexington Beats Toxic Discharge Coverage Suit

Law360, New York (October 1, 2012, 12:53 PM EDT) -- A Missouri federal judge ruled Friday that Lexington Insurance Co. was not responsible for paying to defend against putative class actions accusing Doe Run Resources Corp. of discharging hazardous metals and other toxic substances, finding the pollution exclusion in Doe Run's policies applies.
