USPTO Misread Bank Transfer Patent, Fed. Circ. Hears

Law360, Washington (October 1, 2012, 4:04 PM EDT) -- An inventor urged a Federal Circuit panel on Monday to overturn the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's rejection of his patent covering automatic financial account transfers central to litigation over Bank of America NA's "Keep the Change" savings program, saying the office misconstrued the patent.
