Broker Fights Cantor Fitzgerald Push For Arbitration

Law360, New York (October 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former Cantor Fitzgerald LP broker who sued the Wall Street firm for sexual harassment is fighting the company's push to send the case to arbitration, arguing that her employment contract is unenforceable.

Adeline J. White, who left Cantor Fitzgerald's derivatives brokerage unit BGC Partners LP in 2006, contended on Tuesday that the arbitration clause in her contract illegally disarms the plaintiff of the rights and remedies she is owed.
