Judge Nixes FLSA Preshift Work Class Action Against SEPTA

Law360, Philadelphia (October 1, 2012, 7:20 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge Friday tossed a Fair Labor Standards Act class action claim against the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, ruling that the employees’ claims over payment for pre-shift work are subject to arbitration under the collective bargaining agreements between the parties.
