Commerce Hits Chinese Sink Exporters With Preliminary Duties

Law360, New York (October 1, 2012, 8:09 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce on Friday said it has determined preliminarily that Chinese manufacturers have imported drawn stainless steel sinks at below market value, a finding that could lead to the issuance of stiff anti-dumping duty on the products.

Following an investigation, Commerce said it found that Chinese producers and exporters sold stainless steel sinks in the U.S. at dumping margins of between 54.25 percent to 76.53 percent. The stainless steel sinks are commonly used in commercial kitchens.
