Linen Co. Seeks $21M Superfund Award From Insurers

Law360, New York (October 2, 2012, 4:14 PM EDT) -- Linen supply company AmeriPride Services Inc. lodged a suit Monday against two insurers in California federal court to secure more than $21 million it was awarded in a recent Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act judgment against the insurers' policyholder.

Central National Insurance Co. of Omaha and American International Group Inc. affiliate Granite State Insurance Co. provided policyholder Texas Eastern Overseas Inc. with comprehensive property damage liability coverage, which includes the release of hazardous chemicals for which TEO's predecessor was found liable in the CERCLA...
