Pa. Judge Won't Force Discovery In Ex-Fumo Atty Libel Row

Law360, Philadelphia (October 15, 2012, 6:03 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania state judge refused to force Richard Sprague, a founder of the law firm Sprague & Sprague and former attorney for convicted state senator Vince Fumo, to turn over documents to the Philadelphia Daily News as part of Sprague’s ongoing libel suit against the paper.

Judge Nitza Quinones-Alejandro denied a motion that would have forced Sprague turn over potentially hundreds of thousands of pages of documents to the Daily News related to the firm’s representation of Fumo, ruling the documents in question may be protected...
