Acadia Sues Homebuilder DR Horton Over Coverage Terms

Law360, New York (October 4, 2012, 3:52 PM EDT) -- Acadia Insurance Co. asked a federal judge Wednesday to clarify its responsibility for defending D.R. Horton Inc. in a lawsuit that alleges the homebuilder botched new homes in a New Mexico development project.

The insurer said D.R. Horton is covered under a commercial policy with general liability coverage that it issued to Plumb Mechanical Inc., a plumbing contractor hired by D.R. Horton for the project.
