Suit Over $35M Charleston Pier, Cruise Liners Shipped To SC

Law360, New York (October 4, 2012, 3:21 PM EDT) -- A District of Columbia federal judge has moved to South Carolina court a lawsuit filed by Charleston preservation groups challenging the federal government’s approval of a $35 million pier project they say would attract large cruise ships that could pollute the city's historic district, saying the state was a more appropriate forum.
