Mitsubishi Accuses GE Exec Of Hiding Details From USPTO

Law360, Dallas (October 5, 2012, 8:20 PM EDT) -- In its third day of trial against General Electric Co. in Texas federal court, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. pressed GE Wind Energy executives to admit they made tactical decisions to hide information that would have prevented the company from securing valuable patents for its turbines.

Mitsubishi tried to establish GE Wind’s chief intellectual property attorney didn’t search for or disclose relevant patents and innovations from GE’s competitors before applying for what became U.S. Patent Number 7,629,705 and chose not to reveal prior sales of the technology....
